We did not see any wildlife around the house but I’m sure they were there somewhere. The view is gorgeous! However, there is no place to sit outside to enjoy the view. Once you arrive you will climb a bunch of very steep stairs before you enter the nice and clean home. You will drive about 2 hours down very bumpy curvy dirt roads and cross a river in order to get here. Prepare yourself for the travel involved in getting to this beautiful home. Not a problem for us, but it could be difficult for certain groups of people. Only word of caution would be if anyone in your group has mobility issues or you have a young crawling baby or new walker, there are a lot of steps to get up to the house and also there are steps throughout the house. We saw coatis eating the scraps we threw into the jungle every night. Monkeys were hanging out in the trees one day which was super cool. The pool was warm and big enough for the kids to play in, and half of the pool was only 3' which meant my 6 year old could stand and the other half was like 7' which meant my older kids could dive down and have fun. There was hot water with good water pressure. You can hear the waves crashing on the beach in the master bedroom. ![]() The house is very private, you feel like you are the only people around. It was just a great experience all around. The pool was wonderful! The owner and property manager were responsive and helpful. We stayed for 4 days at this house in Ostional with our three children (ages 6, 9, and 11). An amazing vacation experience for families or a group of friends. Ostional, a national refuge is home to the thousands of Olive Ridley Turtles that will come ashore to bury their eggs during full moon periods. The House feels very spacious even when there are 10 people. High ceilings with ceiling fans, air conditioning, and windows all around for the cool breezes. Large full kitchen and dining area with table that seats 12. King Bed in Master w/Ocean View, 2 sets of bunk beds with single/double combo in 2nd bedroom w/pool/jungle views. ![]() North & South, Marbella and Playa Guionnes. Walk to world class surfing or there are 2 other great surf spots 20 min. There are large populations of wildlife in the area including howler monkeys, iguanas, lizards, crabs, kotimundi, and many species of birds including parrots. Amazing jungle and ocean views but very private. ![]() This Spectacular home is built on top of a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
